Eyelid Surgery

Aesthetic operations can be performed in various ways today. The increase in diversity leads to an increase in interest in aesthetic operations. Particularly women are very pleased to have the ability to correct parts that they are unhappy about in their bodies or that affect us negatively in terms of health with aesthetic operations. Eyelid surgery is also an aesthetic operation that we have heard a lot about in recent days and again, especially women are very interested.

When is it done?

Eyelids are one of the most important parts of the face. A negativity experienced in the eyelids is reflected negatively in the daily life of the patient. Therefore, such problems are eliminated with eyelid surgery. Eyelid surgery can eliminate under-eye bags, wrinkles around the eyes, sagging under the eyes and achieve an aesthetic appearance. In addition, a discomfort in the eyelid can be relieved with eyelid surgery.

Is there an age limit?

Of course, a certain age requirement can be sought for all aesthetic operations. However, some of the problems that occur in the eyelids are sometimes not related to age. Sometimes there may be a negative effect due to hereditary or birth-related factors. In such cases, it will be beneficial for the patient to take precautions as early as possible.  For example, in some eye types, hereditary bags face outward and there is swelling in the under-eye area. Early intervention may be possible without waiting for such patients to reach a certain age. Again, such complaints are eliminated with eyelid surgery.

Surgery Duration

This operation is carried out in two levels for upper eyelids and lower eyelids. If only the upper eyelid is to be operated, the procedure takes a short time. The operation is completed in about 30 minutes. However, the operation may take a little longer if the lower eyelid is to be worked on. This is known to take about 1-1.5 hours. What is important here is whether to a different procedure is carried out in the eyelid operation. The eyelids are very sensitive areas. Therefore, both the patient and the physician performing the procedure should be very meticulous.

Recovery Process

Compared to other operations, the patient can return to daily life in a much shorter time. It is possible to say that the recovery time is about a few days.
